France manager Laurent Blanc has revealed that Yann M'Vila could be fit in time to face England.
The midfielder suffered a sprained ankle during Les Bleus' 2-0 win over Serbia last Friday, casting doubt on his participation in the Euro 2012 opener.
However, Blance has now said that both he and Blaise Matuidi may spring a "pleasant surprise".
"[M'Vila] is doing better, much better," said the 46-year-old. "He's an important element. There's also the injury to Blaise, which is going in the right direction.
"They're significant injuries and it'll be very tight for the first match but there's still a chance of a pleasant surprise."
France face Estonia in their final warm-up game on Thursday.
