Fiorentina have begun their 2012-13 Serie A campaign with a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Udinese at home.

The Bianconeri went ahead after 28 minutes through Maicosuel, when he shot from the centre of the Fiorentina penalty box after being sent through by Luis Muriel.

It stayed 1-0 to Udinese at the break, after which the Viola staged a comeback.

Stevan Jovetic restored parity for the hosts in the 67th minute when he turned home Borja Valero's cross.

Fiorentina continued to press on for the winner and eventually got it in the first minute of injury time.

Sent through by midfielder Alberto Aquilani, Jovetic found the back of the Udinese net with a right-footed shot from the left side of the penalty box.
