Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is reportedly on his way back to boyhood club Feyenoord.

Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is allegedly on the brink of rejoining his boyhood club Feyenoord.

The Dutch striker, who currently plays for Fenerbahce in Turkey, is about to undergo a medical with the Rotterdam outfit, according to Voetbal.

Fenerbahce have failed to win silverware since Van Persie joined them from United in 2015 and has made just two appearances in the Super Lig this season.

The veteran forward originally played for Feyenoord when he was 16, making 78 appearances for the Dutch giants before joining Arsenal.

The 34-year-old went on to spend eight seasons with the Gunners and a further three with their Premier League rivals United.
