Feyenoord general director Martin van Geel says that Everton have not made an approach for centre-back Stefan de Vrij.

Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has revealed that the club are yet to receive any offers for Dutch international centre-back Stefan de Vrij.

The highly-rated 21-year-old has reportedly been targeted by a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton.

However, Van Geel insisted that Feyenoord have not been approached, despite some reports suggesting that the Toffees had made contact.

"No club, including Everton, has made an approach for Stefan," he told Rotterdam-based newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

De Vrij was handed the captain's armband following Ron Vlaar's departure last summer.
