FC Utrecht edge past Vitesse to earn second win in a row

Goals from Willem Janssen and Bart Ramselaar guide FC Utrecht to a 2-1 win over Vitesse in their Eredivisie clash.

FC Utrecht earned their second win on the spin in Eredivisie by defeating Vitesse 2-1 this afternoon.

The home side took the lead in the 15th minute of the game after a spell of good possession when Willem Janssen found the bottom corner with a low strike.

However, Vitesse hit back immediately as Guram Kashia found space inside the box and was able to fire his shot past Robbin Ruiter.

In the second half, Utrecht found their rhythm once again in the final third and were able to retake the lead as Bart Ramselaar notched his second goal in as many games.

The visitors upped the ante in the final minutes of the game in search of an equaliser, but Utrecht held out to claim their second win of the season.
