Wembley to host Women's FA Cup final for first time

The Women's FA Cup final will be held at Wembley Stadium for the first time.

Wembley Stadium will host the Women's FA Cup final for the first time this season.

The match will be played on August 1, and will also be televised on BBC One.

Over 45,000 people attended England Women's friendly against Germany in November.

"The FA is committed to the growth of women's football and holding the final at Wembley is another important milestone in the development of the game," FA chairman Greg Dyke told reporters.

"The final will be a truly historic occasion this year and we're looking forward to a great game of football."

Arsenal Ladies are looking to reach their ninth FA Cup final in 10 seasons.
