Magaye Gueye released by Everton

Everton confirm the release of Magaye Gueye after four years of being at the club.

Premier League side Everton have confirmed that winger Magaye Gueye has left the club by mutual consent after four years on the Toffees' books.

The player struggled to get into the team under Roberto Martinez, and the two parties have now decided to go their separate ways.

"Everton has today confirmed Magaye Gueye has left the Club by mutual consent," the club said in a statement. "The club would like to thank Magaye for his contribution over the last four years and wish him every success for the future."

Gueye joined Everton from Strasbourg in 2010 and has represented Senegal three times at Under-23 level.
