Ross Barkley has ended speculation that has surrounded his future of late by signing a new contract with Everton.
The 20-year-old has been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City this summer, all of whom were said to have been prepared to pay a significant sum to secure his services.
However, following recent discussions, the midfielder has been convinced by manager Roberto Martinez that his future would best be served at Goodison Park, where he has agreed a fresh four-year deal.
Barkley, who scored seven goals in 38 outings last season, joined the Toffees at the age of 11.
