Phil Jagielka reveals Old Trafford "frustration"

Everton captain Phil Jagielka claims that his team did not deserve to lose Sunday's Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Everton captain Phil Jagielka has revealed his "frustration" after his team lost 1-0 at Manchester United in Sunday's Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial scored the only goal of the match early in the second period as the Toffees, who are still in the bottom half of the Premier League table, lost on their travels for just the second time this season.

Jagielka has claimed that his side "defended very well, but not well enough" following another defeat.

"When you come to a place like Man United and your goalkeeper does not have too much to do, it is difficult to accept losing 1-0. It is frustrating, but we have to pick ourselves up now," Jagielka told Sky Sports News. "We did not take our chances in the second half and it is really frustrating. I thought we defended very well, but not well enough."

Everton have only won nine of their 30 league games this season and currently sit 16 points off the Champions League positions.
