Everton's Bryan Oviedo positive following lengthy injury woe

Everton full-back Bryan Oviedo vows to keep improving after returning to fitness following around six months on the sidelines with injury.

Everton left-back Bryan Oviedo has insisted that he will keep improving now that he has returned to fitness following a lengthy injury battle.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Merseyside outfit in 2012, has been out of action since February.

The full-back played 120 minutes in the Toffees' 5-3 victory over Barnsley in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, and started in Saturday's goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

"I feel very good," the Liverpool Echo quotes Oviedo as saying. "After six months of not playing it was very difficult for me to play 120 minutes against Barnsley in the last game.

"But now I feel better. In the second half today, I felt much better and that will only improve with the more games I play."

Oviedo has played just 14 times since the end of January this year.
