New Everton signing Nathan Patterson has been handed his debut with the Under-23s side recently.
The full-back made the move from Rangers to Merseyside earlier this month, costing the Toffees £11.5m, although there are significant add-ons that could see that fee rise.
Caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson opted to leave out the 20-year-old from the matchday squad during their recent 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa, but he featured in the most recent PL2 Division 1 match.
Patterson made his presence known, getting an assist in what was his first official appearance for the club since making the move from Scotland.
The Scotsman picked out Lewis Dobbin with a cross, setting up a goal against Tottenham Hotspur's Under-23's as he looks to make his mark.
Everton will be back in action on February 5 when they face Brentford in the FA Cup.
