Roberto Martinez rules out change of style for Everton

Roberto Martinez insists that he will not change his approach in an attempt to improve Everton's form.

Roberto Martinez has insisted that Everton's inconsistent form will not force him to change the team's style.

Only Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace have conceded more goals than the Toffees in the Premier League this season, but Martinez believes that making major changes would have a negative impact on the team's performances.

"We know as a football club where we want to get to and how we are going to get there. I will allow the results to speak for themselves," the Spaniard told reporters.

"Our style is very clear. Our style was very successful last season, giving us the biggest points tally in the Premier League in the history of our football club.

"It is not a question of style, it's about being very good at what you do. You don't win games by changing the style. You win games by being very good at what you do. Changing only brings doubts. I've been in this situation too many times."

Everton travel to the KC Stadium to face Hull City on New Year's Day.
