Everton boss Roberto Martinez 'frustrated' by international break

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that he is 'frustrated' by the constant international breaks throughout the season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has admitted frustrations at losing a number of his players during the international break, but has insisted that he will not "dwell on it".

The Spaniard, who had eight players left behind during the break, has claimed that it is not the best situation to stop-start throughout the season.

"It's a bit frustrating," the Liverpool Echo quotes Martinez as saying. "You get four or five weeks and then you have an international break.

"If you were losing three or four players at a time then those periods could be fantastic to do some work internally, but when you're losing 13 and 14 players it becomes a bit more of a disruption to your routine.

"And we have another one coming up in four of five weeks, but it's pointless to dwell on it and what we have done really well is to use this break to try to work with the eight players individually behind the scenes."

The Toffees are due to take on Hull City on Saturday.
