Everton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that his side need more players like summer signing Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye has made a bright start to his Everton career, and his absence was felt on Saturday as the suspended midfielder missed out on the Toffees' 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea.
Koeman admitted that the team missed Gueye's presence in the middle of the park and praised the former Aston Villa man's attitude.
"Of course you miss that players because the reason why we signed Gana was because of his energy, his aggression in the midfield and winning second balls and of course you miss that player," Koeman told reporters.
"We need more of those players because it is not always about qualities, it is about mentality and everything without the ball."
Meanwhile, the club's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri earlier insisted that Koeman would have "no restrictions" on his spending in January.
