Phil Jagielka pleased with Darron Gibson comeback

Everton defender Phil Jagielka is pleased with the return of Darron Gibson from a three-month absence through injury.

Everton defender Phil Jagielka has welcomed the recent return of Darron Gibson from injury.

Gibson had been sidelined for three months with a thigh problem before he played 73 minutes of Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Goodison Park.

"We have been a little bit light in that area over the last few months, so it is nice to have him back," Jagielka told the club's official website.

"He learnt his trade at Manchester United. He's composed and has a good range of passing.

"He knows when you put the ball in behind and when to play to feet. He's not afraid to tackle or head, so he is pretty much the complete midfielder."

The Toffees are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to champions Manchester City.
