Everton interim boss David Unsworth: 'Crystal Palace game is vital'

Everton interim boss David Unsworth admits that the club's trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League is a "vital" game.

Everton interim boss David Unsworth has acknowledged that back-to-backs wins could change the club's fortunes in the Premier League.

Before the international break, Everton overturned a two-goal deficit to record a 3-2 victory over Watford, with the result taking the Toffees outside of the relegation zone.

Unsworth takes his side to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, and the former defender has admitted that a positive result could be "vital" for the club.

The 44-year-old told reporters: "We're fully focused on the game tomorrow - we've spoken about desire and fight and commitment.

"If you win a couple of games you can fly up the table - back-to-back wins are vital."

Unsworth will be taking charge of his fifth match since replacing Ronald Koeman in the dugout last month.
