Steven Naismith: 'Everton can win Europa League'

Steven Naismith believes that Everton are good enough to win this season's Europa League.

Everton midfielder Steven Naismith has claimed that the squad is confident of winning the Europa League.

The Toffees continue their European campaign on Thursday when they host Dynamo Kiev for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Naismith admits that all of the teams left in the competition are 'high quality', but the Scot believes that Everton are capable of lifting the trophy at the end of the season.

"We believe we can go all the way to the final and win it, we believe we have the quality," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"Of course we are at a stage now where every team is a quality team with great organisation in the squad. We know we have to be at out best to get through, but there is a belief we can do it. When you look at our points in the league Europe has obviously had an effect on results, but we are an ambitious club and it is where we want to be at."

Everton hammered Swiss side Young Boys 7-2 on aggregate to reach the Europa League round of 16.
