Euro 2020 to move to December?

UEFA could reportedly move Euro 2020 to December as the coronavirus outbreak sees several top-flight leagues postponed.

Euro 2020 could reportedly be moved to December following postponements to sporting events amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Matches in several top-flight leagues have been suspended as the virus continues to affect the sporting landscape, and domestic postponements could have a significant impact on future international tournaments.

According to The Telegraph, UEFA will hold a meeting next Tuesday in order to discuss an action plan for this summer's tournament, where representatives from all 55 member nations will debate the best way to move forward.

As well as domestic leagues being postponed, Champions League and Europa League matches have all been suspended, and the report also suggests that the finals of both competitions could be moved in line with any future plans.

Fixtures in the Premier League are due to resume in early April, although there have been considerable doubts on whether the season will be able to get up and running again so soon.
