Gary Neville: 'People who say England should copy Germany are oblivious'

Gary Neville blasts people who have called on England to follow Germany's approach following their World Cup triumph over Argentina in Brazil.

England coach Gary Neville has hit out at people claiming that the Three Lions should mirror Germany's approach after they secured their fourth World Cup in Brazil.

Joachim Low's side earned the trophy with a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final at the Maracana last night.

The development of German players has been highly praised following their triumph, which has led some to suggest that England could take tips after they faltered in the group stage.

Neville wrote on Twitter: "People who write - 'England should follow the German route' are either oblivious to the obstacle or believe in magic wands!

"Course it would be great to follow that route but you may as well at present say 'England needs weather like Spain'."

England earned just one point and finished bottom of Group D in Brazil.
