Martin Keown: 'Roy Hodgson has done a magnificent job with England'

Martin Keown believes that Roy Hodgson did a "magnificent job" with England in their final two World Cup qualifiers.

Former England defender Martin Keown believes that England manager Roy Hodgson deserves praise for guiding the nation to the World Cup.

The Three Lions secured their place in next year's tournament in Brazil with a 2-0 victory over Poland at Wembley last night, courtesy of goals from Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard.

"Roy Hodgson has done a magnificent job in the last two qualifiers," Keown told BBC Radio 5 live. "He managed the team well, he was bold in his selection, bringing in Andros Townsend who was a revelation in both games, so let's build on that, but it's going to be a completely different thing when we get to Brazil. It will be very tough for us of course."

Meanwhile, Danny Mills, who is a member of the Football Association's commission, believes that England need to change their playing style when they reach Brazil.
