Great Britain's football teams are to stay in the Olympic Village alongside the Team GB athletes next year.

The Football Association have confirmed that Great Britain's football teams will stay at the Olympic Village alongside Team GB athletes in London next summer.

The teams will be based in London but will travel around the country for matches, including games in Cardiff and Manchester.

The men's team is likely to be coached by the England Under-21s manager Stuart Pearce, while the women's matches will be under the guidance of the England women's coach Hope Powell.

Former Three Lions captain David Beckham could be included in the men's team.

The squads will be announced in November, followed by the final 18, before the Olympic Games next year.
