Chief executive Dave Morris has ended an 11-year association with Doncaster Rovers by stepping down from his role with club.
Rovers have been promoted to the Championship during Morris's tenure at the Keepmoat Stadium.
"Doncaster Rovers has been a fantastic place to work and, as a fan myself, it's been wonderful to see the club move from the Conference to the Championship," Morris told the club's official website.
"I've overseen many changes in the time I've been here, including the move to the new stadium, and I feel now is a good time to move on and seek a fresh challenge.
"The club has a great deal going for it and, with the senior management team I've helped put in place, we have good people who can help take Doncaster Rovers forward. It's not always been easy but it has been a fantastic journey."
Gavin Baldwin will take on the job on an interim basis.
