Doncaster Rovers welcomed high-flying Leicester City to the Keepmoat looking to pick up their first home win since mid-August.

It was a feat achieved by Paul Dickov's side as they edged out the Foxes thanks to a comical goalkeeping error from Kasper Schmeichel.

Afternoon folks! Our feature 3pm kickoff in the Championship sees Paul Dickov's Doncaster welcome high-flying Leicester to the Keepmoat. No time to waste, let's get to the team news...

Pearson continues with the same firing XI while Dickov makes four changes to his team from the midweek defeat to Burnley. James Coppinger, Richie Wellens, David Cotterill and James Husband miss out, with Theo Robinson, Reece Wabara, Dean Furman and Mark Duffy coming in. Full lineups to follow.

The man to look out for in red-and-white today is Federico Macheda. The Manchester United loanee made a flying start to life in Yorkshire with a brace on his debut against Forest before scoring the winner a week ago against neighbours Wednesday. He is part of a three-pronged attack today alongside Chris Brown and Theo Robinson.

UPDATE: Taking a quick detour away from the Championship, it's just finished at the Etihad in the Premier League where Manchester City ended Everton's unbeaten start to the season with a turnaround 3-1 victory. Here's our report.

There was also a lunchtime kickoff in the Championship as Birmingham took on Bolton at St Andrew's. Bolton went into the match without a win in their opening 10 games but finally broke that duck with a 2-1 victory. That report here.

Last time these two met was 18 months ago at Leicester where the Foxes romped to a 4-0 win as Doncaster headed for relegation. However, the last meeting here at Keepmoat was a Rovers win, with Billy Sharp scoring a brace to edge it.

PREDICTION TIME! Just 10 minutes until we kick off so let's try and guess what's going to happen in the next two hours or so. I actually fancy Donny to nick a point and am going to side with an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Going into this match, Leicester are joint-top of the table with Burnley and QPR on 23 points. Rovers are down in 17th but a win today could see them climb as high as 14th.

REFEREE WATCH! The man with the whistle today is Mark Heywood, who last week oversaw a six-goal game between York and Portsmouth in League Two.

Here come the two sides out of the tunnel. Both are in their home colours or red-and-white and blue respectively, while referee Heywood and his assistants are in grey/silver.

A reminder to keep an eye on the red live scores box on the right to make sure you don't miss a goal this afternoon!

KICKOFF! We're underway at the Keepmoat. Will Leicester be top of the pile come 5pm?

Almost an opening for the visitors as Nugent feeds King in the middle, but his poked pass onto Vardy on the left is just cut out so Turnbull collects.

Leicester manager Pearson is watching the first half from the stands. I'm pretty sure that he hasn't got a touchline ban so that's a very odd move. He's now just constantly speaking into the mic on his collar!

UPDATE! First goal of the day comes at the Goldsands as Millwall take the lead against Bournemouth.

Back to the Keepmoat and Donny have their first shot of the day through Keegan that zips well over the crossbar.

Deep Leicester corner is met by Moore who can't head on target. Very even in the opening stages with neither side able to hold the ball for too long.

UPDATE! Now 2-0 Millwall on the South Coast while at the other end of the country it's Yeovil who go one-nil up at Middlesbrough.

Great burst forward from De Laet, who beats a couple of men before being denied entry into the box by Jones.

UPDATE! Ipswich take the lead at struggling Wednesday before the Owls hit straight back. In the top flight, the first goal of the 3pm kickoffs comes at Anfield as Luis Suarez puts Liverpool ahead against Palace.

Macheda is given a bit of room to the right of the area and he looks to work a shooting opportunity but then slips at the vital moment so scuffs the shot.

GOAL! DONCASTER 1-0 LEICESTER (DUFFY)

***HOWLER ALERT*** This is a huge, huge error from Schmeichel. Duffy's corner is being attacked by absolutely no-one and should be an easy catch for the Dane under the bar. Somehow it slips through his grasp and into the net. Hilarious.

Leicester have done very little since conceding and, if anything, it's Donny who look more threatening at the moment.

UPDATE! There's been plenty of goals elsewhere in the last 10 minutes or so. Derby have gone 2-0 ahead against Leeds in Steve McClaren's first game in charge, Burnley are one up against Reading while it's Huddersfield 1-1 Watford.

SHOT! First meaningful shot of the game by a blue shirt comes from Knockaert after a clever dummy from King. The number 24 let fly from the edge of the area but shot too close to Turnbull who was able to beat it away.

CHANCE! Donny are fizzing the ball around really nicely at the moment and they almost go two ahead. Macheda sprints forward and is denied a shooting opportunity by a fantastic challenge from Morgan. The loose ball falls to Robinson whose shot from a tight angle is parried out by Schmeichel.

There's tons of empty seats at the Keepmoat but the fans that are here are loving the way Donny are pinging it around. Great stuff from the underdogs.

Duffy's cross is blocked and falls straight to Furman who strikes low to the near post where Schmeichel tips it around the upright for a corner.

From the resulting set piece Duffy doesn't score this time but does put in a good delivery that Macheda meets but can't keep down.

WELL HELD! Knockaert turns one way, then the other on the edge of the area before teeing up Konchesky who spanks a left-foot drive at goal that is calmly saved by Turnbull. Cool keeping from the former Chelsea man.

Five minutes until the break. Will Leicester be able to nab an equaliser before the interval?

OFF THE POST! And just like that, they almost do! King threads the needle to pick out Drinkwater's run and the number four's shot is ever so unlucky as he beats Turnbull from a tight angle but doesn't get the rub of the green as the ball comes back out off the inside of the post.

JUST WIDE! Leicester are ramping up the pressure here! Knockaert is again at the heart of the move as he jinks onto his favoured left foot before rifling a shot across the face of goal and just wide.

Just the one minute added on at the end of the first half.

HALF TIME: DONCASTER 1-0 LEICESTER

It's Donny who have a surprise lead thanks to a comical gaffe from Foxes keeper Schmeichel, who somehow failed to catch Duffy's corner and instead diverted it into his own net.

The opening half hour did belong to Donny really but in the final 15 minutes of the half Leicester looked very dangerous and could well have equalised. Drinkwater hitting the post was the closest they came to goal while Knockaert has been lively throughout.

Click here to see the 'as it stands' table at half time in the Championship. Donny are currently moving up to 16th place in the table while Leicester will stay third but fall behind the pace of Sean Dyche's Burnley at the top.

All of today's half-time scores in the Football League and Premier League can be found here.

We were a little delayed getting started so the two sides are yet to re-emerge from the tunnel. Shouldn't be long though! I'm not expecting any half-time changes from the two managers. Both will be content enough with what they've seen.

Here they come at last. As expected, no changes for either side.

Macheda almost gets played in on goal by Brown but Moore keeps up with the United loanee before shepherding him wide of the goal and away from danger.

UPDATE! As in the first half, the first goal anywhere in the second period comes at Goldsands as Bournemouth bring it back to 2-2 against Millwall. They were 2-0 down.

Nasty moment for Wabara as De Laet makes no attempt to jump for the ball so the Donny man tumbles over him and lands awkwardly on his back. Gladly, it looks like he's OK to continue.

Keegan picks out Macheda with a floated cross that the Italian heads straight at Schmeichel. Doesn't matter anyway as the flag was raised for offside.

Leicester have a free kick on the right edge of the area that Knockaert curls ferociously at goal but too high and onto the roof of the net.

WERHAY! Assistant referee Ryan Johnson is floored by Rob Jones's clearance from point-blank range into his midriff! Fans loved that!

Surely there will be a change of personnel soon, for both Donny and Leicester? The visitors, especially, need to freshen things up if they are going to grab a goal here.

UPDATE! QPR finally break the deadlock, as expected, against rockbottom Barnsley. Charlie Austin, as expected, with the goal!

LEICESTER SUB: The first change of the match is an enforced one as De Laet hobbles off for Wasilewski, making his league debut for the Foxes. That move sees Moore slot over to right-back.

Moore immediately adapts to his new role and bombs on down the wing before putting in a centre. It causes confusion on the six-yard line when Nugent almost poaches a goal but Turnbull is alert. Just over 20 minutes now for Leicester to avoid a surprise loss.

LEICESTER SUB: Jeffrey Schlupp enters the fray for Dyer on the left of Leicester's midfield.

Doncaster are understandably becoming a little nervous and sitting further and further back. Expect a blue barrage in the final quarter of an hour. Can Dickov's men hold on?

DONNY SUB: No goal for Macheda today so he 'slumps' to just three in four games for Rovers. He's replaced by James Coppinger.

There's not been a single booking so far today and Heywood comes close to dishing out his first one but instead just ticks off Leicester's Morgan.

CHANCE! Donny almost wrap up the points! They work the ball nicely down the right to Quinn, whose cross is just taken off the head of Robinson before dropping to Brown, who is off-balance and can only sky his shot over.

Schlupp tumbles on the edge of the box and looks hopefully at Heywood who shakes his head and says that Khumalo got the ball.

Leicester have just conceded on their Twitter feed that the Foxes are "struggling" to break Donny down and that Jones has been "outstanding".

If Leicester aren't clinical, Donny will have chances on the break. It's Duffy who's picked out on the left wing. He feints once but Moore isn't fooled and makes a fine tackle to deny the blondie a shot on goal.

YELLOW! It took 87 minutes, but we finally have a card as Nugent is cautioned for having too much to say to referee Heywood.

FOUR minutes of time added on as 90 shows on the clock. Leicester don't really deserve an equaliser but will they find one?

Donny have just whittled away the first two minutes of the four with some composed passing under pressure.

FULL TIME: DONCASTER 1-0 LEICESTER

Massive result for Donny as they pick up their first home win since August. A possible table-topping victory for Leicester never really looked like happening with Doncaster's defence especially good today.

Three points for Dickov's side sees them climb to 16th in the table while Leicester stay third, but are now three adrift of table-toppers Burnley and QPR.

With all the 3pm madness over, I recommend that you now head over and join Jack Prescott for coverage of the evening Premier League kickoff between Sunderland and Manchester United.

There's also a 5.30pm kickoff in the Championship between Brighton and Nottingham. Look out for live scores and half-time and full-time reports on that one.

Thanks for joining SM for coverage of this match where Donny upset the form books by edging Leicester thanks to a hilarious bit of goalkeeping from Kasper Schmeichel. See you again soon.
