Rotherham United sign Derby County defender Farrend Rawson

Derby County defender Farrend Rawson joins Championship strugglers Rotherham United on a 28-day youth loan.

Rotherham United have signed Derby County defender Farrend Rawson on a 28-day youth loan.

The Millers, currently 21st in the Championship table, have drafted the youngster straight into their starting lineup for today's clash with Huddersfield Town.

Rawson is yet to play for the Rams' first team under Steve McLaren, but has been a regular fixture in County's Under 21 side this season.

The 18-year-old was named on the bench for Derby's Capital One Cup second-round victory over Charlton Athletic last August.
