Rotherham United land Danny Lafferty on one-month loan

Danny Lafferty joins Rotherham United on a one-month loan deal from Burnley in order to secure more regular first-team football.

Championship strugglers Rotherham United have signed Burnley defender Danny Lafferty on a short-term loan deal.

The 25-year-old, who has made two appearances for the Clarets this season, will remain with the Millers until April.

Lafferty is eligible to make his debut against Huddersfield Town on the weekend, as his side look to push away from the relegation zone.

One win in their last six games has seen Steve Evans's side slip to within six points of the drop zone.

Northern Ireland international Lafferty previously played for Celtic and Derry City, before making the move to Burnley in 2012.
