Bradley Johnson enjoying life at Derby County

Derby County midfielder Bradley Johnson admits that he is happy with the "good start" he has made since joining the club from Norwich City earlier this month.

Bradley Johnson has admitted that he is delighted with the start he has made to life at Derby County.

The 28-year-old joined the Rams from Premier League side Norwich City on transfer deadline day in a deal potentially worth up to £7m.

Since linking up with his new side, Johnson has helped Derby to get their season back on track following a rather indifferent start under Paul Clement.

Following a three-game unbeaten run, culminating in a goalless draw against an in-form Burnley on Monday night, the Englishman claims that there is still room for improvement.

"I've had a good start with a few wins and a draw - we're in a good habit of not losing games," he told the club's official website. "The win at Preston on my debut was important for us, to get that first win of the season, and we followed that up at Reading.

"They are both hard places to go to so to come away with six points was a great return. On Monday night against Burnley we put in a good performance but we were just lacking that killer instinct in front of goal, but we're working on that and what we can do better.

"We were disappointed that we didn't win in front of our home fans, but at the end of the season that could be a massive point for us. Our focus is now on MK Dons and we're preparing for a hard game down there."

Johnson was named Norwich's Player of the Year in 2014-15 after playing a key part in their promotion to the top flight.
