Dallas ease past New England Revolution
Goals from Mauro Diaz, Fabian Castillo and Michael Barrios secure a comfortable 3-0 victory for Dallas in their MLS clash against the New England Revolution.

Dallas eased to a 3-0 victory over the New England Revolution in their MLS clash this evening.

The home side were handed the chance to take the lead when David Texeira was brought down on the edge of the area. Mauro Diaz took the free kick and found the bottom corner with a low drive to put his side ahead.

New England hit back when Lee Nguyen raided forward and struck at goal from distance, but Dan Kennedy made a good diving stop to keep his strike out.

The Revolution pushed forward again as Kevin Alston crossed into the box for the run of Charlie Davies, but his close-range effort was well saved by Kennedy with a good reaction stop.

Dallas extended their lead in the 64th minute when Fabian Castillo was played through on goal, and although Bobby Shuttleworth saved his first strike, the forward pounced on the rebound to find the net.

The visitors earned a chance to get back into the match when Nguyen won a free kick just outside the box, but Diego Fagundez curled his effort well over the bar.

Dallas secured their win in the 73rd minute as Diaz split the Revolution open with a incisive through ball, and Michael Barrios maintained his composure to beat Shuttleworth with a low finish.
