Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis: 'Decisions haven't gone our way'

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis insists that his team "need a break" after a number of decisions haven't 'gone their way'.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has claimed that his team have not had the rub of the green of late following his side's defeat to Newcastle United.

The 56-year-old expressed his frustration on Saturday by claiming that referee Lee Probert allowed the game to run over three minutes of stoppage time, which included a late winner for Newcastle.

"We need a break," Pulis told reporters in Thursday's press conference. "Having watched the Arsenal game against Swansea, the ref blows up 30 seconds before time is out. In our game against Newcastle, he plays three minutes over time in both halves. You need things to go for you and things haven't gone for us.

"The most important thing is you don't get too carried away or to despondent. That is what I would mark referees down on. You will make mistakes but big mistakes, mistakes that should not happen, are decisions that annoy people."

Palace, who are three points above the relegation zone in the Premier League table, will welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park on Saturday.
