Crystal Palace: 'Tony Pulis left by mutual consent'

Crystal Palace confirm that Tony Pulis has left Selhurst Park by "mutual consent" following rumours of disagreements between the manager and co-chairman Steve Parish.

Crystal Palace have confirmed Tony Pulis's departure by stating that the manager left Selhurst Park by "mutual consent".

The 56-year-old left his role after just nine months in charge following reported showdown talks with co-chairman Steve Parish last night.

Rumours have emerged claiming that Pulis had numerous disagreements with Parish regarding transfer targets after missing out on Steven Caulker and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

This morning, the Eagles released a statement on their official website saying: "Crystal Palace Football Club can confirm that Tony Pulis has left the club by mutual consent with immediate effect.

"Keith Millen will be in temporary charge of the team for our opening Barclays Premier League game against Arsenal this Saturday.

"The club would like to thank Tony for his efforts with the club during last season and wish him all the best for the future."

Pulis was named Premier League Manager of the Season in May after saving Palace from relegation.
