Coventry City have signed Ireland international Stephen Elliott from Hearts following the expiration of his contract.
The 28-year-old forward, who has played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland, has signed a one-year contract with the Ricoh Arena outfit.
Coventry manager Andy Thom believes that Elliott will be vital in helping his side bounce straight back into the Championship after relegation.
Speaking to the club's official website, Thom said: "We're really pleased to be able to get Stephen. We've got some really talented young players here, but we want to supplement that with experience too and Stephen brings that.
"I know there were clubs from the Championship very interested in Stephen, but our hard work has paid off in bringing him here."
Elliott has played nine times for Ireland, scoring once.
