James Rodriguez: 'Brazil showdown will be extraordinary'

Colombia forward James Rodriguez insists that his side are not under pressure ahead of their World Cup showdown with Brazil.

Colombia striker James Rodriguez has declared that his country's World Cup quarter-final meeting with Brazil will be an "extraordinary" encounter.

The Monaco forward also insisted that his side do not feel under pressure, despite going into the match as the underdogs.

"As a younger man, I always wanted to be here. That was a great dream of mine and we hope that we can make it far. It is a dream and we are making history and we want to do even more because this is a team that wants to win a lot," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"There is no pressure. Obviously Brazil have their good players, they play well but I believe they must also follow us closely.

"We have good players and we can be dangerous, so this is going to be a beautiful match. It will be something extraordinary for us to play."

Rodriguez, who found the net twice during his side's 2-0 win over Uruguay in the last 16, has been hailed as one of the brightest stars of the tournament.
