Queens Park Rangers forward joins Colchester United on loan

Colchester United bolster their attacking options by signing Queens Park Rangers forward Troy Hewitt on loan until the end of the season.

Colchester United have singed Queens Park Rangers forward Troy Hewitt on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old arrives at the Colchester Community Stadium at a time when leading goalscorers Jabo Ibehre and Freddie Sears are sidelined by suspension and injury respectively.

Hewitt, who has made just one substitute appearance for QPR, featured 12 times for Bury earlier this season.

He is expected to make his Colchester debut in Saturday's home clash against Crewe.
