A late winner from Nick LaBrocca helped Club Deportivo Chivas USA maintain their 100 percent away record with a 2-1 win over Portland Timbers at Jeld-Wen Field.
The hosts started superbly and, after Darlington Nagbe had twice been denied by Dan Kennedy saves, Kris Boyd opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a crisp turn and low shot from 11 yards.
The former Scotland international went close to doubling the lead five minutes later but his flicked header flew inches wide of the top corner.
Chivas looked like a totally different team in the second half and they were level within three minutes of the restart.
Ryan Smith swung in a pacy cross and Alejandro Moreno headed home from close range.
Rauwshan McKenzie should have scored his first goal for Chivas on the hour but, following a Cesar Romero corner, he directed his header wide from just four yards out.
LaBrocca saved his teammate's blushes eight minutes from time, as he nodded home from another perfect Smith cross.
