Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is closing in on a move to Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire, according to reports.
The 37-year-old is a free agent after leaving the Blues at the end of last season, and has been linked with a move to America in recent weeks.
Chicago Fire have emerged as the favourites for his signature with an 18-month contract worth £1.6m, reports ESPN, though several MLS clubs are rumoured to be interested.
An unnamed Qatari club are also in the race for the Ivorian forward, the report adds.
Drogba scored seven goals in 38 appearances for Jose Mourinho's side last season, but started just 12 of those games.
