Kevin de Bruyne and Andre Schurrle are on target as Chelsea edge AC Milan 2-0 to earn a place in the International Champions Cup final.

Chelsea have continued their unbeaten pre-season run with a 2-0 victory over AC Milan in the International Champions Cup.

Jose Mourinho picked a strong side to play at the MetLife Stadium in New York, with Eden Hazard, Oscar and Demba Ba all starting for the Blues.

Milan fielded star striker Mario Balotelli, who was brought down by Branislav Ivanovic early on in a challenge that earned the defender a yellow card.

Ivanovic then stopped Balotelli from tapping home a rebound with a crucial interception, with Chelsea countering to take the lead just moments later.

Kevin de Bruyne was the man who broke the deadlock, finishing neatly after fine approach play from Hazard created the opportunity.

John Terry and Juan Mata were among the players introduced after the break, with the former coming close to scoring with an acrobatic volley that went wide of the target.

Ramires, Victor Moses and Andre Schurrle all went close to scoring in the second half, with the German winger finally putting the result beyond doubt in stoppage time.

Schurrle opened his Chelsea account with a sweetly-struck volley, making the most of a chip into the penalty area from Moses.

Chelsea will now move on to Miami and will contest the Champions Cup final against Mourinho's former side Real Madrid on Wednesday.
