The Mirror claims that the East London club are hoping to take the player on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Salah made 16 appearances on loan at Serie A club Fiorentina last season, and it is believed that they want to loan him for a second year.
Juventus and Inter Milan are also reportedly interested in signing Salah.
