Wesley Fofana is reportedly set to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed transfer from Leicester City and Chelsea.
Chelsea won 2-1 when the two clubs met in the Premier League on Saturday, but with his transfer close to being completed, Fofana was not involved.
The Blues have busy strengthening their defence this summer, signing Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella from Napoli and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.
However, they have also been looking to recruit Fofana from Leicester, and while they had a number of bids rejected, Chelsea managed to reach an agreement with the Foxes.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fofana is expected to undergo his medical with Chelsea on Sunday before signing the necessary paperwork.
