Roma are reportedly ready to launch a loan approach for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi.
There are currently doubts over the future of Edin Dzeko, who is being linked with a transfer to Inter Milan before the end of the summer window.
However, according to Sky Sports Italia, Roma are keen to bring in Batshuayi, regardless of whether the 33-year-old stays at Stadio Olimpico.
While Batshuayi played an active role for Chelsea during their pre-season programme, the Belgium international was not included in the 18-man squad to face Manchester United last weekend.
That would suggest that Frank Lampard regards the striker as third choice behind Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud, although the newly-appointed boss may value keeping the 25-year-old as an option in his squad.
Nevertheless, the report adds that Roma are keen to agree a loan deal with the option to buy Batshuayi next summer.
