Roma are prepared to offer Chelsea one of Antonio Rudiger or Radja Nainggolan as part of a permanent deal to sign Cesc Fabregas when the transfer window reopens, according to a report.
The Serie A side are said to have made the Spaniard their top target for the New Year and are willing to dispense with one of their own star players to take him on board.
It is claimed by The Mirror that Fabregas's wages could be a potential sticking point, but it is unknown whether Chelsea would accept the deal even if they get their hands on reported targets Nainggolan or Rudiger.
Fabregas, a £28m arrival from Barcelona in 2014, has started just two Premier League games this season after struggling to oust Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante from the Blues' engine room.
Boss Antonio Conte recently insisted that the 29-year-old is not for sale, despite suggestions that he wants out of Stamford Bridge in January due to his lack of playing time.
