Report: Galatasaray want Karim Benzema

A report claims that Galatasaray will move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in the January transfer window.

Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini will reportedly move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in the January transfer window.

Despite scoring four times in 10 games for Madrid this season, the Frenchman has faced criticism from the club's supporters for his perceived lack of effort.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, have been linked with his services, but according to AS, Galatasaray are on the verge of making contact with Madrid officials.

It is believed that Mancini wants the 25-year-old to replace Burak Yilmaz, who is widely expected to depart the Turkish outfit when the transfer window opens in January.
