Chelsea will reportedly hold talks in the next 24 hours with Napoli over a possible deal to land striker Edinson Cavani this summer.

Chelsea will step up their pursuit of Edinson Cavani as they plan to hold talks with Napoli over the next few days, according to a report.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed he will meet with the Blues to strike up a possible deal in the near future.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is determined to land the 26-year-old and will be backed by owner Roman Abramovich, but they will refuse to pay the £53m valuation of the Uruguayan, reports The Mirror.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are also hopingto secure a deal to land Cavani this summer.
