Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has described Luka Modric's possible move to Chelsea as a 'dead deal'.
The Blues had around three offers for the Croatian midfielder rejected over the summer, with the final bid reportedly in the region of £40m.
With rumours that the Stamford Bridge club may try to sign Modric in January, Redknapp has been quick to dismiss any speculation.
"I don't expect Luka to want to go anywhere. I think the Chelsea deal is dead," he told reporters.
"He's happy here. I don't know where he's at with his contract talks with the chairman, but I'm sure they'll get something done.
"I don't see there being a problem with Luka. No matter what Chelsea offer, he isn't going. Not a chance."
