Petr Cech open to Chelsea exit

Petr Cech says that he will end his 10-year Chelsea spell if he continues to play second fiddle to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that he will leave the club if he fails to wrestle the number one shirt away from Thibaut Courtois.

The Czech international has been usurped as the Blues' number one for the first time in his 10-year spell at Stamford Bridge as boss Jose Mourinho seems to prefer Courtois.

Consequently, Cech is open to leaving Chelsea and says that his career with the national team is also in jeopardy if he continues to play second fiddle to the Belgian.

"I have not spoken to anyone, but I think they know me well enough at the club to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine," the 32-year-old told Czech radio.

"With the Euros [in 2016] and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play.

"If the situation will not start to improve for me, then I will want to solve it."

Cech, whose contract expires in 2016, joined the Premier League giants for a reported £7m in 2004 following a two-year spell with French side Rennes.
