Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that he will not move quickly to sign players before the start of the World Cup next month.
The Blues are believed to have agreed a £32m deal with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid for striker Diego Costa.
However, Mourinho has suggested that the West London outfit will not dominate spending in the summer transfer window this time around.
"Since the market will be open until August 31, like it is, I think it will be more of the same," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.
"I think people [will] wait for the World Cup, wait for the first reaction of the first team, wait until after something happens.
"Everything was done during the season, we knew perfectly what we wanted and I don't think we have huge work to do during the summer really."
Chelsea have agreed a one-year contract extension with captain John Terry, while left-back Ashley Cole is expected to end his eight-year stint at Stamford Bridge after revealing on Twitter that he is looking for a new club.
