The managerial change at Monaco has reportedly resulted in a delay regarding Alvaro Morata's loan move from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea have already brought in Gonzalo Higuain as a replacement for Morata, and the forward remains on course to make the switch to the Spanish capital.
However, according to Goal.com, the transfer has been held up due to Gelson Martins being unable to leave Atletico in order to spend the rest of the campaign at Monaco.
Atletico are seemingly required to part ways with the Portuguese winger before they are able to add to their squad, and it has been suggested that the return of Leonardo Jardim as a replacement for sacked Monaco boss Thierry Henry has delayed the process.
The report claims, however, that Monaco are committed to bringing in Martins having seen off the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United to secure the wideman's signature.
