Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata prefers AC Milan switch over Chelsea move?

Real Madrid attacker Alvaro Morata is reportedly ready to turn down Chelsea in favour of a transfer to AC Milan.

AC Milan have reportedly emerged as favourites to complete the transfer of Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.

The Spanish international had been expected to sign for Manchester United but after the Premier League giants instead opted for Everton forward Romelu Lukaku, it left the 24-year-old in limbo ahead of next season.

Chelsea are said to have quickly turned their attention to a player who netted 20 goals in all competitions last season, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata prefers a move to Italy.

It has been suggested that Milan are prepared to offer better personal terms than the Blues, who are desperate to sign a new striker this summer after Antonio Conte ruled Diego Costa out of his plans.

Morata has previously spent two years in Serie A with Juventus, where he contributed 27 goals from 93 appearances in all competitions.

AC Milan have already made a number of high-profile signings this summer, and it has been claimed that Renato Sanches could follow from Bayern Munich.
