Benfica boss Jorge Jesus admits defeat in his efforts to keep Nemanja Matic at the club.

Chelsea target Nemanja Matic is likely to leave Benfica this summer, according to his manager Jorge Jesus.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a return to Stamford Bridge, and Jesus has now conceded that it will be "almost impossible" to keep him.

"I wish he does not leave, but this is almost impossible given the clubs that are following," O Jogo quotes him as saying.

"Of course the possible sale of him worries me, it is not easy to replace a player with that sort of quality.

"He was a third, fourth or fifth choice for Chelsea that was sent to Vitesse [on loan]. But we thought he had potential and had him working for two years. Now he is the player who is coveted by the best teams in Europe."

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Matic.
