Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard hints that a transfer to the MLS remains a possibility.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has suggested that he is considering a transfer to the MLS as opposed to staying at Stamford Bridge.

There had been suggestions that the Blues were ready to open discussions over a new deal for the 34-year-old, despite originally deciding to let the midfielder leave the club at the end of the season.

While reports have claimed that Lampard is happy to stay in West London, the Blues player has suggested that a switch to the United States is still on the cards.

Lampard, who has been linked with Los Angeles Galaxy, dropped the hint when speaking of his England future.

"While I'm available for England, and I certainly am now and in the future, I want to do my best to try to put myself in the squad," Goal.com quotes Lampard as saying.

"I don't think it rules out anything, including America. I haven't had the conversation with the manager about it. I've seen players get picked before, playing all over the world.

"If there's ever a time, whenever it is, where there's an option of going outside Europe, I'm sure me and Roy [Hodgson] would have the conversation about that."

Lampard netted his 200th goal during Chelsea's 2-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday.
