Everton are allegedly pushing to secure the transfer of a player who will be allowed to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Everton are reportedly ready to be proactive in the race to sign a Chelsea player during the summer transfer window.

The Toffees' off-the-field activity generated more attention than their on-the-pitch performances over the most recent campaign, with Sean Dyche's side defying two separate points deductions to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Furthermore, the race for ownership has taken multiple twists and turns, with a number of parties now bidding to takeover after 777 Partners failed to get a deal over the line.

As a result, incomings at this stage of the summer felt highly unlikely, particularly when Everton will need to sell players in order to remain on the right side of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Nevertheless, it was suggested over the weekend that the Merseyside outfit will look to strengthen their forward options by acquiring the services of a Chelsea player.

Everton hold talks over Broja deal

According to sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs, who was commenting on X, Everton are eager to get a deal for Armando Broja over the line.

Jacobs has claimed that Everton have been in "daily contact" with their Chelsea counterparts in order to try to secure the services of the 22-year-old.

Everton are said to be hopeful of making a quick breakthrough with a package that could rise to £30m reportedly being discussed.

Whether concluding a deal is realistic remains to be seen with Broja currently with the Albania squad preparing for Euro 2024.

The recent Fulham loanee has also acknowledged he is in no rush to make a decision over his future, aware that other clubs are contemplating moves for his signature.

What would be the ramifications of any transfer?

In Chelsea's case, co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital would be delighted to facilitate a quick sale of Broja in order to bolster their own bid to meet the Premier League's financial regulations.

Chelsea have just recouped in the region of £4m courtesy of Broja's failed loan switch to Craven Cottage, where he would be restricted to just eight substitute outings.

From Everton's perspective, signing Broja for the transfer fee mentioned would seemingly indicate that one of their current frontmen is departing Goodison Park.

Although Dominic Calvert-Lewin is clear of Beto and Youssef Chermiti in the pecking order, the long-serving England international has just one year left on his contract and has coincidentally been linked with a move to West London.
