A Chelsea forward is reportedly attracting interest from as many as three clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea forward Armando Broja is reportedly attracting interest from three clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

After recovering from a serious knee injury, Broja started the 2023-24 campaign as backup to Nicolas Jackson and with the hope of ultimately challenging for regular football.

However, while the academy graduate made eight starts and 11 substitute outings in all competitions, he would score just the two goals.

At a time when they wished to improve their standing with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, Chelsea allowed Broja to spend the second half of the season on loan at Fulham.

On the back of eight substitute outings totalling 83 minutes, a permanent transfer is out of the question, leaving the Albania international to return to his parent club.

Blues co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital hope that Broja's stay will now be a short one as they look to cash in on the 22-year-old as soon as possible.

Wolves among clubs chasing Broja

According to the Evening Standard, Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the clubs who are eager to secure a deal for Broja as soon as possible.

The West Midlands outfit held an interest in January, yet were not prepared to pay Chelsea's desired transfer or loan fee at that particular time.

Monaco and Bologna are also said to be admirers of Broja and are eager to tempt the frontman to France or Italy in due course.

Although the interest is a major positive for Chelsea, it is alleged that Broja is happy to remain patient before making a decision and could wait until after Euro 2024.

That would not satisfy Chelsea as they look to generate as much income as possible before the next accounting date of June 30.

Which club could get the best out of Broja?

Despite the hype surrounding Broja, he has now made 66 appearances - albeit many from the substitutes' bench - in the Premier League, scoring just the eight goals.

Wolves' counter-attacking style of play could suit someone like Broja, whose powerful running was a trademark during a loan stint at Southampton.

Broja would face a fiercer battle for regular starts at Monaco, who scored 68 goals on their way to finishing runners-up behind Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

Wissam Ben Yedder, Folarin Balogun, and Breel Embolo would all provide direct competition to Broja should he move to Stade Louis II.

As for Serie A surprise package Bologna, they were able to earn a maiden appearance in the Champions League with only two players scoring seven or more goals, the door seemingly open for a new attacker to make his mark.
